We LOVE our taco nights! But sometimes my body is really sensitive to red meat so I want to make some chicken tacos instead of beef tacos. And sometimes I just want to come home to dinner already made with zero effort. So these crockpot ranch chicken tacos are perfect!
It’s a nice change of pace from your typical tacos while still keeping it simple and oh so easy!
With just four ingredients you can dump this in your crockpot and come back later in the day for the easiest dinner ever.
How To Make Crockpot Ranch Chicken Tacos
It’s seriously stupid easy. Place some chicken breasts in your crockpot (I use frozen but fresh also works). Then mix taco seasoning and ranch seasoning in water and pour it over your chicken. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
When you are ready to eat just shred the chicken and serve.
I’m super picky with my crockpot. I searched high and low for a crockpot that would allow me to program a specific cook time and automatically switch to warm so I didn’t have to worry about switching it myself. Both my husband and I work full time so I like that I can set my crockpot to cook for 6 hours and then stay on warm until we’re ready. Here’s the link to the one we have if you have the same needs.
What To Serve With Crockpot Ranch Chicken Tacos
You can serve these Ranch Chicken Tacos in tortillas with your favorite toppings or on a tasty salad. They also make fantastic leftovers!
I like to use the leftover meat by making them into taquitos. All I do is wrap the meat up in small taquitos shells, bake them for a few minutes so they hold their shape, and then freeze them for an easy snack or quick meal when I need it. (I’ll share a more detailed recipe soon).
I also like to turn these chicken ranch tacos into quesadillas! If you haven’t tried these tortillas from Tortilla Land you’re missing out. I swear, once you try them you’ll NEVER go back! You can buy them from most grocery stores or Costco.
