If you’ve seen more of my recipes you know we mainly eat chicken in our house. So I’ve been on a journey to find new and tasty chicken recipes to mix up our routine.
I tried this Mississippi chicken this week and LOVED it! It was so simple and easy to throw together and had such an amazing flavor.
This recipe is perfect for family dinner but is also a great one to meal prep with. I’d personally throw it in a zesty salad like a greek salad or prep it with some broccoli.

How To Make Mississippi Chicken
Preheat oven to 425F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with cooking spray.
Place chicken in the baking dish. You can use any type of chicken you like, I just prefer to use boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
Sprinkle dry ranch seasoning and dry au jus gravy mix over the chicken. Remember, you’re using the dry mix, not making the sauces and then adding them to the pot – keeping it simple!
Top the chicken with banana peppers and then top with butter slices.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165F.
Serve with veggies, rice, pasta, or your go-to side dish.
You can also top it with a little cheese if you’d like. I’d personally go with mozzarella or feta.
