I have a soft spot in my heart for all things jalapeno! Ever since I got my acid reflux under control I’ve jumped at the opportunity to eat all things spicy.
Jalapeno Poppers are perfect for BBQs, potlucks, and parties! They come together super easy and can be baked or grilled. I opted to bake mine because the grill makes me nervous lol.
These are so tasty that I even forgot to grab a picture of the final product! I guess that means I’ll just have to make them again for pictures (whoops! lol).
How To Make Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
Preheat oven to 425F.
Using gloves to protect your skin cut jalapenos in half and scrape out seeds and membranes. You seriously will want to use gloves or your fingers will be tingly for days.
In a bowl combine the cream cheese and shredded cheese.
Stuff cream cheese mixture into jalapeno halves.
Wrap each jalapeno completely with bacon ensuring the cheese is covered. If it isn’t covered completely the cheese will melt out while it bakes. I tried to use less bacon on some of them to get more out of it and regretted it. You really want to wrap those suckers tight and get all the cheese covered. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
Place a silicone sheet on a baking sheet and bake for 18-23 minutes until the bacon is crisp and cheese is melted. Some recipes will tell you to flip your poppers halfway through, I didn’t want to risk the cheese falling out so I didn’t and it worked just fine.
