I’ll typically whip up a big batch of them and just keep them in the freezer so they’re ready to go. They also serve as my late-night snack when I want something sweet but don’t want to overindulge.
These are also great snacks for kids! Simple and tasty without all the added sugar processed snacks have.
The recipe is simple and the mix in’s can be changed to whatever you’d like!

What You Need To Make White Chocolate Cranberry Protein Balls
The Base Ingredients
Rolled Oats: Just regular uncooked quick oats. I like to buy the big box of these at Costco because it’s just a versatile ingredient!
Natural Peanut Butter: You can use any peanut butter you’d like. I prefer to skip the sugar and other additives and go with natural peanut butter. Whatever suits you will work.
Honey: Nice a simple honey! I love to buy my honey at the local farmers market!
Flax Seed (optional): This is totally optional but adds a bit extra fiber which your body will thank you for!
Mix Ins
This is where you can really get creative! For these protein balls I added White Chocolate Chips and Cranberries, but you can add just regular chocolate chips, trail mix, other dried fruits, coconut etc.
How To Make White Chocolate Cranberry Protein Balls
This recipe is as easy as it gets! Just dump, mix, roll, freeze, enjoy!
Dump all your ingredients into one mixing bowl and give it a good mix (it’ll be your arm workout for the day!). Feel free to add extra mix-ins until you reach the ratio you like.
Then, use a cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into balls. Decide on the size you’d like to make them, I use about a 2-inch cookie scoop and get about 24 balls out of the mixture. You can make smaller balls to get a larger total.
Place all your balls on a cookie sheet, I like to use these silicon sheets for easy cleanup.
Then place them in the freezer for about 30 mins or until they’ve hardened. Then move them to an air-tight bag or container. Store in the freezer for an easy snack!
I LOVE these reusable freezer bags that limit my impact on the environment, plus you can vacuum seal them to prevent freezer burn and fit more in your freezer!

Counting Macros?
These protein balls are perfect to help you hit your macros! They also serve as a great post-workout snack with both protein and carbs to help you recover. If you make this batch into 24 balls you’ll have the following macros for each ball: Protein: 7.1 | Carbs: 19.5 | Net Carbs: 16.9 | Fat: 12.8

Do you think substituting chia seeds for flax would turn out?
Yes you could do that, however it’s been recommended to me not to use chia seeds dry – you should soak them first. But if you prefer chia seeds and they don’t bother you dry go ahead!
